It is a 100% hand made crotched bee made by women artisans who earn their living by making crochet.  Our purpose of selling this beautiful crotched bee is to allow people in developing nations to get fair payment for their goods and services while retaining a high standard of social and environmental practices.

As you know, you can buy fair trade tea, coffee and wine; but  there are also some small businesses offering fair trade crochets like us. We also wanted to take part in this by offering first our bee product made by a women who earns their living by making crotched stuff like slippers and children’s toys.

For now we are working with a lady who is making crochet slippers, tea cosies and coasters. If there is a demand we will help her sell the other stuff she makes as well.

We purchase crochet bees from female artisans and crocheters and pay them a fair wage for their work. We are planning to sell the crochet piece to UK buyers interested in helping to support these artisans.

How does this help women in other country?

• They work from their own home rather then going to work places which can not always be great to work
• They earn fair amount of money and can stand on their feet by themselves
• They support themselves and their own family without relying others for help
